                   COLONEL SCOTT WILLIAMS

 

Colonel Scott Williams is Commander of the 169th Fighter Wing, South Carolina Air National Guard, McEntire Joint National Guard Base, Eastover, SC. He previously commanded the 169th Operations Group.

 

Colonel Williams was born in Sylvester, Ga., and commissioned through the ROTC at Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. He graduated from undergraduate pilot training in 1986 and is a command pilot with more than 3,600 hours flying military aircraft in PACAF, USAFE, ACC, AETC, and the ANG. Colonel Williams has also held several positions at the Pentagon and National Guard Bureau, including F-16 program element monitor and CSAF briefing team chief. He was also the Programs Division Chief at the National Guard Bureau, Crystal City, Va.
